Our contract with you

When you place your order with laffinage.co.uk your order is recognised as an offer which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

Acceptance of your order will take place when we confirm that payment has been received on the confirmation page upon completion of your order and/or via subsequent email.   At this point the contract will come into existence between you and us.

If for whatever reason we are unable to accept your order, we will let you know and you will not be charged for your order. Reasons we might not be able to accept your order might be that we have listed the product incorrectly on the website or that we have simply run out of some of our stock.

Products descriptions and services
All of our cheese at laffinage.co.uk is cut to order by our own fair hands so weights given on the website are there for guidance.  We will always do our utmost to cut to the exact weights as stated but will be unable to offer you a refund where there is a reasonable tolerance from the stated weights on our site.  Our promise to you is that we will always do our best to be as accurate as possible with your order and if we do cut one piece slightly under, we will try to make up the difference with the next in your order.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that we are selling but they are for illustrative purposes only.  Many of our cheeses are handmade artisan products which, by their nature, vary from individual cheese to cheese. Our images and descriptions are there to give you the very best indication of what our cheese is like before you purchase, however you can expect there to be subtle variations from what is portrayed on this site.

Cheese is a ‘live’ product and will leave us in the best condition, it will be carefully wrapped and delicately boxed for delivery to you.  Please remember that it is a perishable product and will need to be cared for once you receive it.

Occasionally there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

Substitution

If for some reason a cheese you have ordered becomes unavailable we will replace it with a similar product that is comparable in quality and origin to the same or greater value.  If we can’t do this we will be in touch with to discuss an alternative from our extensive range of great cheeses. Who knows, we might just recommend your new favourite.

Accuracy of billing and account information
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at laffinage.co.uk. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. We can not be held responsible if you give us incorrect or incomplete information regarding your order and subsequently we are unable to deliver to a correct UK address.

Ordering and delivery
The full description of our delivery procedure is available here at our FAQ page.

Please make certain that you give the correct delivery details with your order.  If you do make a mistake please contact us as soon as possible using the hello@laffinage.co.uk address.  Unfortunately if the order has already been dispatched we will not be able to retrieve the parcel or accept a return.

Once your order has been dispatched our courier will make contact to arrange delivery.  We always want you to receive our cheese in the best condition. Please remember that it is a perishable product and therefore we would prefer that someone is available to accept the delivery so that it can be refrigerated as soon as possible. If you are not going to be in you MUST provide an alternative option for the delivery to be left.  We can not accept returns. Undelivered parcels will be returned to the depot for ‘redelivery the next day’ and we can not guarantee how the courier will store it. This is why we only offer next day delivery and ask you to give clear instruction in the delivery comments as to where the parcel can be left in the event of you not being available to receive it.

In the event of a delay our courier should contact you to let you know.  We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery due to adverse weather conditions or situations beyond our control.  Any delay in dispatch and/or delivery for whatsoever reason shall not be grounds for a claim for consequential loss.  You own the product once we have accepted your order and received payment in full.

Subscriptions
Our subscriptions must be paid for in advance at the time or ordering.

We can be fully flexible with regards to your delivery preferences and requirements, if you have any questions please contact hello@laffinage.co.uk and we will do our best to help you out.

Cancellations
You can cancel anytime.

If you do decide to cancel your subscription, you must notify us by email at hello@laffinage.co.uk. If we have already sent out your cheese box for that month then you will still be charged for it.

A refund will then be issued for the remaining period of which you have left on your plan
