Join us on Thursday, 16th October, when we will be joined by Bryanna to taste six of her favourite wines paired with six of our favourite cheeses.

We will be tasting a range of interesting and eclectic wines that reflect the peculiarities and strengths of their region – their terroir. But equally as important, wines that reflect the way we drink – with food, with friends, listening to music, watching a sunset, smelling the sea air… because drinking wine is primarily a reason for having fun.

Bryanna will be giving her subjective tasting notes, historical vignettes, cultural and culinary background, and multifarious digressions. It’s a way to understand the wines, to evoke and stimulate as it brings you closer to the spirit of the wine itself.

Tickets are £35 and include six wines, six cheeses, bread, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere to kick back and relax.

We kick off promptly at 6.30pm. To purchase tickets please click on the link

Sam & Beccy Leach are custodians of beautiful organic orchards in the Chew valley producing soulful ciders and perry whilst practicing regenerative farming. Fruit is picked from the ground, in the old way, left to mature and ripened before pressing. Fermentation is slow and gentle with wild yeasts, time and now sulphates.

Little Pomona launched onto the market in 2017, Susanna and James Forbes’ story started a few years earlier, when they found their dream orchard in Thornbury, North Herefordshire: 120 trees with four classic cider apple varieties. Inspired by the tastes and vision of notable producers, their quest was to work with the best possible fruit using natural methods to fashion ciders and perries with true flavours. Ciders with the character and structure to match with food. Ciders to enjoy, to share and to celebrate with. In 2022, they were lucky enough to be joined by Laurence Cocking, super-qualified winemaker (formerly with premium Kent winery, Gusbourne) who has fallen in love with the apple, and the creations – and creativity that is possible.

Tickets are £35 and include six wines, six cheeses, bread, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere to kick back and relax.

Limeburn Hill Vineyard is owned and cared for by Robin Snowdon and Georgina Harvey. The vineyard is farmed on Biodynamic principles as they want to work in a healthy landscape, rich in wildlife, which encourages the full expression of the spirit of the land and the fruit that is grown there.

Robin worked as an architect, landscape architect and lecturer before reconnecting with his childhood wish to be a farmer. His road to winemaking began at the age of 10 when he won first prize for his alcoholic ‘strawbilberry’ wine, even though his Mum had to accept the prize.
Georgina worked in documentary-making for the BBC before a career change to landscape architecture, alongside the vineyard. The vineyard and its 18th century farmhouse has become her place to explore creativity and community.

Dunleavy Vineyards were planted by owner and manager Ingrid Bates. Ingrid has a background in biology and, after a short stint working in the media, began her viticultural career 20 years ago when she took up a job maintaining a local vineyard. Having found her true vocation, she began planning and saving and finally planted her own vineyard in 2008 at the tender age of 28.

Tickets are £35 and include six wines, six cheeses, bread, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere to kick back and relax.

Maddie has been in the wine trade for nearly 20 years. After stints as Buyer and Senior Buyer at Averys in Bristol and Cru World Wine in her twenties, she had covered a wide range of buying, from blending entry level own labels to tasting from barrel at some of the world’s most prestigious wineries. After starting a family and taking a step back from the wine trade to run a neighbourhood cafe for a few years, the call of the grape was just too strong, and her career-long passion of seeking out the off-the-beaten track bargains and turned it into our family business, Spiegel & Peach was born!

We will be joined by Leon who will be pouring six of his favourite wines from the Savoie region of France. With over 20 years experience predominantly in the French Alps, as well as volunteering during the first stages of fermentation at Château Vieux Mougnac, near Lussac, St Emillion Leon most definitely deserves his Blue Peter badge in the world of wine. Slightly nearer to home Leon has ran his own wine bar on Gloucester road and spent a year working with the English winemaking legends – Woodchester Vineyard.

Tickets are £35 and include six wines, six cheeses, bread, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere to kick back and relax.
